Alaska Grown Carrot

Ski for Women, February 6, 2011, in Anchorage, Alaska.  The Alaska Women's Environmental Network (AWEN) group had the theme of an Alaska Garden.  Gail was a carrot.  A really big, Alaska Grown, carrot.

Although I did not manage to record my fellow vegetable's names, I believe the varieties were (L-R) Peas, Kale, Lettuce, Carrot, Poppy, Potatoes, and two unidentifieds.  I often find things growing in my garden that I cannot identify, so this is quite authentic.

There was a parade before the race, but the only fellow vegetable I was able to locate in time was this one.  What better to go with a carrot than peas?
